Welcome to Vie de Vignes

I’ve had an itch for the past eight months — not the burning, I-need-to-see-a-doctor-itch, but a subtle reminder that something is off and must be given attention. I didn’t realize how much I love writing until it vanished pretty abruptly from my everyday life. I was the editor of my newspaper in high school, an English major in college, and even at my first job in an investment bank, I managed to coin myself as the girl who could write. Writing was kicked out the door from one day to the next after I decided to leave my short-lived career as a banker and pursue winemaking (and yes, I did get some funny looks from colleagues when I announced the news).

Since a lot has changed for me in the past year, I’ve decided to document my new experiences, encounters with wine, and the stories of dedicated winemakers who generously share their passion and knowledge. I cannot say where this new path will lead me but I am confident it is the right path for me. I hope you enjoy!
